[FF7: Lucrecia Crescent] The Loneliest Guy

Album: "Reality" by David Bowie
Claim: Lucrecia Crescent
Characters: Lucrecia, mentions of people
Rating: PG
Summary: Human relations were a form of science. And science was a form of self perfection.

Current Projects, or where to claim

Comment here to participate in the [info]spoony_bards writing project. One comment per album, please, to keep things organized.

  • Please put in the header of your comment the following information:
       - Title and artist of the album you are claiming
       - Subject you want to write about (for fandom: a character/pairing/theme would be appropriate here; for original: whatever you think is descriptive)

  • Please put in the body of the comment the following information:
       - A tracklisting of the album you've claimed, so we can see the song titles you'll be writing on.
       - Any further information about your writing project that you think people might want to know!
       - a link to where we can download the music this is illegal.

  • If you use the Wikipedia Meme, list it as described above, so we can all giggle at your song titles. You may want to make a note saying that you are not using a real album, though.

  • When finished, please reply to your own original comment with a link to your final product. It might help to put "Final Product" in the comment header in this case.

Feel free to comment on other people's claims and discuss music, writing, fandom, whatever. We're all friends here!

YOU SPOONY BARD! or Taking back the songfic.

HAY THERE GUYS

Welcome to the ridiculously awesome [info]spoony_bards! This is a writing project community started (and run, lazily) by [info]first_seventhe on LJ and sort of run by [info]venefica_aura here. The only reason this is a separate community is so that I can have something called [info]spoony_bards* on insanejournal too because cool kids hang here. You'll note that this post is basically copied verbatim from what [info]first_seventhe wrote because she said it quite well.

The community is free for basically anyone** to join! It is easy and fun to do and is also quite high in fiber.

Here is what you do:
  • 1. Cut a hole in the box

  • 2. Put your junk in that box

  • 3. ???

  • 4. PROFIT!!!

  • 1. Choose a kick-ass album*** **** and a story/idea you want to write about. Claim it here so that everyone else can see what you're writing!

  • 2. For each song on the album, write a piece of your story relating to that particular song. Title of the piece is the name of the song; lyrics could be interspersed in the story, or simply a story theme. It's up to you! Each piece should link together into a whole, in order, just like the songs link together into an album.
Pieces can be as long or as short as you'd like. IMO pieces should be at least 100 (original) words long, not counting lyrics; but am I really going to check on you? No. LOL.

  • 3. You can post the pieces individually if you like. When the story is finished, you should post it in its entirety: either as one collection of pieces, c/p-ed into one post, or as a set of links to individual pieces (if you write a lot). Feel free to wax philosophical on your album, its theme, and how everything relates. You can make a totally sweet "cover" for your final product if you want. Maybe something with a decal? Number 18? Yeah, you're feeling me.

  • 4. Illegally share your album with the community so we can get the full depth out of your piece! Do not do this because it is totally illegal and I would NEVER condone doing this EVER. OBVIOUSLY. NOPE.

THE GENERAL CODE OF THE BRETHREN OF THE SPOONY BARDS:
   - You can claim as much as you really feel like writing. I don't really care. This is just a writing project, not a community I'm actually going to be actively modding (yet). Do what you want.
   - Please try to link to previous parts of your piece when posting new parts. It's just annoying otherwise.
   - No making fun of anyone's taste in music. We all listen to bad music when we think no one's watching.
   - Fanfiction, original fiction, porn - anything's acceptable here.
   - Be sure to post headers: title, fandom (if there is one), characters (if appropriate), and rating. Rating is most important!
   - DON'T SUCK.
   - Have fun! Seriously.

* This is a reference to Final Fantasy IV. Those not in the fandom (HOW DARE YOU~!) may not get it, but rest assured that it is AWESOME.
**You cannot participate if you are an asshat. This is the only qualification.
***The album does not, in fact, have to kick ass. If you want to claim Kevin Federline I promise I will try really hard not to laugh. Humor is acceptable too. If you want to write fiction to The Bloodhound Gang, I am totally not going to stop you. In fact: someone please do this.
****You are allowed to use the Wikipedia Meme to come up with an imaginary album and imaginary songs if you want to. Go right ahead. That's ten kinds of awesome right there.
